Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology, better known as SCIT is an IT B-school in Pune, India. SCIT is a constituent of Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune. It specializes in imparting education in a unique way of integrating information technology into business studies.

NAAC: SCIT is among the very few Indian institutions of postgraduate IT education with NAAC accreditation, dedicated almost exclusively to evolving domain-specific IT professionals. 'National Assessment & Accreditation Council' (NAAC) is an autonomous body set up by the University Grants Commission of India for assessing the quality of higher education.
Registered Education Provider of PMI Project Management has assumed tremendous importance in the IT industry for delivering any solution. All SCIT programmes recognize this need and have a component on Project Management. From October 2006, SCIT has become a Registered Education Provider that facilitates a student to receive a PMP certification in future, if desired.

MBA (IT Business Management) - General: ITBM is a techno-managerial course that is geared towards areas like marketing and business development in the IT industry. creates professionals in management cadres such as marketing, business development, functional consulting, project management, customer relationship, process management and such other portfolios within IT and related businesses.
MBA (Systems): The Systems programme includes inputs on business processes, software development processes, software quality, audits and domain knowledge. Offers a variety of opportunities in Customer Management & Delivery for Software Solutions. Typical areas cover Business Process Analysis, Systems Analysis, Systems Design, Software Quality & Testing etc. leading to potential positions such as Project Leader/ Manager, Enterprise Systems Manager,IT Managers etc. in IT, consulting organizations.
MBA (Information Security Management): The Information Security Management program consists of Business Processes, Information Flow, Risks associated with Information Assets etc. focuses on developing & implementing security solutions & policies for an enterprise to make itself secure. Has unique focus on information flow, security and risk management and offers a range of opportunities in this emerging market of the IT industry & Consultancy Firms, as every enterprise needs to secure its systems.
MBA (IT Infrastructure Management): The IT Infrastructure Management program is about designing, engineering, integrating and implementing reliable & secure network solutions and managing & administering network and IT infrastructure using contemporary & proven technologies. Equips graduates with requisite skills to take a leadership & management position in Design and Engineering, Network Operations & Support services, Consulting Services, IS Auditing and Converged Networks.
MBA (Software Solutions and Management): The Software Solutions & Management programme aims at creating potential managers, architects and software solution providers who with a firm technical foundation , business understanding , relevant technology and current practices have ability to deliver software solutions in a changing technical & business environment.
SCIT is located in Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjewadi which is home to IT majors such as Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro etc.
As the MBA programme in SCIT completely residential, there are 4 blocks dedicated to spacious and well-maintained hostels. Each room accommodates three students and also has an attached bathroom.
All of SCIT's classrooms have network and Internet connectivity in addition to LCD Projectors with sound systems to facilitate presentations and demonstrations.
Three different platforms viz. Windows, Solaris and Linux are used in SCIT. The Solaris environment is implemented on Ultra-SPARC II Sun Servers and Sun-Ray 1 thin client appliances. There are a total of 120 computers in SCIT.
This is a lab to experiment with different technologies and products for simulating diverse environments. Students work on areas such as high performance networks, Network security, Intrusion Detection, Intrusion Prevention, Perimeter Security, wireless Security, Threat Management Systems etc.
SCIT has library facilities with 5,000 books on technology and management and nearly 1500 CDs. The students have an access to nearly 20,000 books housed in the same building by sister institutes through an interactive web portal.
SCIT has a high speed Wireless Internet Connectivity available in the entire campus as well as the hostels.

Research and Management goes hand in hand in any education domain. They are like the two sides of a coin in that they co-exist and coerce with each other. SCIT aims at imparting top quality Management Education by being an enabler as well as a facilitator for students to explore their potential with a research based approach. The students are provided with a platform to perform and excel and under optimum feasible conditions their best practices are even adopted to the management level. Student get to work and design lectures, symposia, seminars, workshops and functions.
Graffiti is the annual managerial fest at SCIT which brings together business and technology in such a fascinating manner that the result is a splendid event. It is a three day extravaganza, taking place in January, where participants from corporates and colleges all over India which include major B-Schools like IIMs, XLRI, SP Jain, NMIMS, etc. participate, play, debate and have fun. It is an amazing platform for interaction of professionals-in-the-making with IT and non-IT corporates. Formerly known as Techie-kaun, this event has gone a long way from being a technical fest to a managerial event.
Each year Graffiti comes up with an innovative theme around which the entire event revolves. The theme adds to the allure and grace of the fest, which includes exciting events like Quizzes, Panel discussions, Marketing games, Case study competitions, LAN gaming, treasure hunts, B-Plan competitions and many more in addition to the online and free-fall events. To mark the closing of Graffiti, there is always a Rock Show featuring some bands.

Samarambh is the 1st cultural festival for the new entrants to the SCIT family. It helps them to get acquainted with their peers and display their talent. A mélange of cultural events including dances, singing, skits etc. are organised.
Srujan is a Business Ideation and Business Plan Competition open for all the aspiring entrepreneurs. The main aim is to develop an entrepreneurial & innovative solution in some of the sectors which need attention from the youth at large. It is hosted by SCIT for promoting Entrepreneurship amongst students and the public at large.
The Entrepreneurship-Cell carries out its Annual entrepreneurship event. “ Sprout IT “ brings out the very best in every budding entrepreneur. It is a platform where your dreams of starting your own firm turn real. It provides the initial thrust towards innovation, success and excellence.
